Osigata Kakejuku
Juyo Bijutsuhin Nio Kiyohisa
This is a full length oshigata of a Tachi made by Nio Kiyohisa during the Kamakura period and classified as a Juyo Bijutsuhin (important art object). The length of the sword is recorded as 2 shaku 3 sun 3 bu (27 3/4").It was made during the late Meji to early Showa Period (1890-1920). It is mounted on paper and silk and is in excellent condition.
This type of mounted oshigata is very rare. This would make a very nice addition to a sword study room or a dojo.
