Yoshioka Kozuka
Signed: Yoshioka Inaba no Suke
Length: 3 13/16", 9.7 cm
This kozuka is very unique in that it is done in a style which is very similar to the Yokoya school. Also it is done in shibuichi a silver alloy. The Yoshioka school displays a very broad variety of techniques and styles in their work as evidenced by this piece. Since this piece is signed it is extremely important as otherwise ( if mumei) this piece would probably be attributed to the Yokoya school. It has a NBTHK hozon kanteisho to verify the authenticity of the mei (it was not submitted to Toku Ho shinsa). As a note genuine Yoshioka kodogu that is signed will get Tokubetsu Hozon certification unless there is a significant flaw.
